Research on Double-Arc Cutting Tool Design and Cutting Performance

چکیده

With the increasing complexity of workpiece surfaces in aerospace and automotive molding other areas, an number cutting tools with different shapes performance have become necessary. A new kind tool is developed a double-arc revolving surface at tool’s end to improve processing quality numerical control milling, referred as (DACT) this paper. The parametric geometric model DACT established. Three types cutting-edge curves are proposed (a edge constant helix angle, pitch, orthogonal spiral edge). Corresponding simulation results also provided graphical representations. manufactured tested verify its feasibility. Finally, two contrast experiments conducted prove that has higher than ball-end mill (BEM). advantage verified, which provides theoretical basis for machining. design application research method tools.
